Firstly, it serves as a decorative element, enhancing the appearance's brightness and improving the corrosion and acid-alkali resistance of the lifting sleeve itself. Secondly, it increases the hardness and wear resistance of the sleeve.

Therefore, when comparing chrome-plated horizontal jacks to regular jacks, the main difference lies in the lifting sleeve. The chrome-plated lifting sleeve features an extra thin passivation film, giving it a stronger metallic feel and better wear resistance. It is more suitable for situations where heavy objects need to be lifted frequently, as well as for wet or highly acidic or alkaline environments.
