The Puqing Expressway is located in a mountainous area, and the culverts set up are located at the high fill roadbed of the valley. Some of the culverts can reach a length of up to 100 meters. In order to reduce the adverse factors caused by rainfall during construction, fully utilize the current construction personnel, and complete the construction progress as soon as possible, technicians have developed a "template overall moving device".

This device can freely move the formwork back and forth without the need for a crane, and there is no need to frequently dismantle and assemble the formwork during culvert construction. The specific construction method is to weld the pulley and jack together. When the support is working, the screw jack is retracted. After the cover plate is poured, the top support is lowered, the formwork is taken out, and then the screw jack is lifted up to suspend the support as a whole. The anchor rod and support are connected to the steel wire rope with a chain block. Manually cooperate with the chain hoist to pull the bracket to the next working position, then retract the jack to make the scaffold fall to the ground, and start the next section of construction.

The participation of screw jacks has saved half of the manpower and working time compared to previous methods, while also saving mechanical equipment, ensuring the smooth completion of culvert construction.
