Electrode rod pressing is an important step in the manufacturing process of electrical equipment such as power capacitors. The electrode rod is one of the main components inside the capacitor, which undertakes the electrode function of the capacitor. Electrode rods are commonly used between the positive and negative electrodes of capacitors to isolate and store electrical energy through dielectric materials. The main purpose of suppressing electrode rods is to ensure the performance and reliability of capacitors.
When the maintenance personnel press the electrode rod, they first place the manufactured mold into the small cover of the electrode rod with mica tube, wrap it around a fine asbestos rope and apply silicone gel. Then, they use a 5-ton screw jack to press and form the electrode rod in one go between the mold and the electrode rod, and then dry it. In this way, the top pressing method is used instead of the nut tightening method to ensure the stability of the electrode rod assembly process, so that it can withstand both the impact of 320 kilograms of high pressure and the test of 490 degrees high temperature during use.
