Hydraulic jack and screw jack are two types of jacks with completely different working principles. One uses hydraulic transmission to increase pressure to achieve lifting, and the other uses screw pair transmission to push heavy objects to lift. So, which type of jack has the greater energy conversion?

The so-called energy conversion here refers to the conversion of pressure applied to the jack handle into the force output of the top support on the heavy object. So, when applying the same force to two jacks, which one can achieve a greater output of force? The answer is definitely that the side with greater output power has greater energy conversion. It is obvious that hydraulic jacks are more labor-saving to operate because the force of hydraulic transmission is relatively single. During the pressing process, the screw jack will always be subject to frictional and meshing forces between mechanical components, which is relatively more difficult. Therefore, from this point of view, hydraulic jacks have a greater energy conversion than screw jacks.
